  1. Life: Kombucha Round 2 with lemon

And we’re back with lemon flavour. Another gift from S/O/L. Seriously guys, could she be any nicer?

This flavour was even easier to drink, I really love the lemon zing. It is probably slightly tastier than the original flavour however I would happily drink both.

    P.S Yep no stories!

  2. Colour: Braidz

Firstly let’s get down to business. Are you whipping your hair back and fourth? You better be. Anyway I am still in hair rehab so constantly looking for hairspiration (LOL get it? hair & inspiration combined?).

Every year for one special event Miss Colombia braids my hair and I love it. Then I spotted this shot of Kourtney Kardashian rocking braids and an amazing leopard print dress pregnant - TDF and I was reminded of my love for braidz. If only I could don the braids braidz more often, that would be if I could actually braid myself. Ok so here are some amazing braidz I have found on the WORLD WIDE WEB (get on board people. OK that really was awky).

The ultimate braid godess Nicole Richie.

    * Um it’s Jennifer Lopez aka Jenny From The Block aka J LO.

P.S So Miss Gamble’s lovely little nephew broke up with his girlfriend. She asked him why and he whispered, ‘because she likes the chicken thigh and I like the chicken wing. It’s just not going to work.’ Both LOLZ and cute at the same time.
P.P.S FYI I like all parts of the chicken

  3. Life: Kombucha

    Hi bebes,

I started visiting a health food store nearby last year and quickly became a regular face. There was/is one girl there named Shades of Lilac who has become my favourite person to visit. She’s a lovely girl with a wealth of knowledge and we LOVE talking all things paleo (holla).

Shades of Lilac posted on Kombucha a little while ago (which I read). When I went to visit her she told me I have to try it. So she went and purchased me her favourite brand (how amazing right?) and I promised to report back. If you want to know why it’s good for you and how to make it go to Mark’s Daily Apple.

The result? I really liked it. It tastes like a subtle ACV fizzy drink. Delish. And I get all that fermented goodness. Thanks so much S/O/L!

P.S Are you ready? I am no baking queen, I was helping out Senorita NCL yesterday and I melted the butter too much and the mixture was ruined. I am ok with the fact that my baking days are well behind me.

  5. Life: Dinner With Friends

A little while ago I was invited over to a friends house for dinner. What happened? I was served one of the most amazing and thoughtful meals of my life. I was so wrapped up in the meal that I didn’t take ONE PHOTO! NOT ONE I TELL YA! There was so much detail from the candles, to the menu’s to the drinks.

Here is a snapshot of the menu some of the highlights included the paprika compound butter made from scratch, the tuna sashimi and the avocado ice cream.

P.S I may or may not have potentially broken a piece on the airdyne at the gym. Who knows?

    * Awky message but classic tune.

  7. Colour: Donning The ‘Up Do’

    Hi,

If you’re new to the blog, welcome. If you’re new to the blog you won’t know about my hair situation. Well guys, I have been donning the ‘up do’ for a while now. I even went to a wedding on the weekend (with a slicked back straight pony tail thank you very much) and the bride had one of the biggest buns I have ever seen. Point of the story? It looked way cool (yes that was/is grammatically correct). I am all about the ‘up do’ bebes and if you saw the images from The Met Ball in NYC, then I am right on trend.

    Camilla Belle looking TDF.

Check out the muscles on Gisele Bundchen! I love how she looks athletic and curvy at the same time. Must be all that steak. Also LOVING the slicked to the side hairstyle. This is something I have to try whilst my hair is in ‘hair rehab.’

Again with the slicked back hair, Kate Bosworth is rocking it especially with her eyes, one blue and one brown!

Now with a middle part, thanks Gwyneth Paltrow.

Oh Beyonce, Beyonce, Beyonce. This is one of my favourites. By far.

  8. Life: Cutler & Co.

    Ok,

So a little while ago I dined at Cutler and Co. for a fabulous Sunday lunch. When in Melbourne it is one of the places you have to go to. Here’s a snapshot of some of the delights we had, sorry for the descriptions I was way too busy eating (and socialising).

To the right we had slow roasted carrots which were TDF and one of my favourites and to the left (with lyrics for entertainment) I cannot remember. Awky.

To the left pumpkin, hazelnuts and pomegranates and to the right fried mozzarella.

Mr Tijuana and I shared this slow roasted lamb shoulder with cumin.

OMG I am not really into desert but at the grocery story Mr Tijuana found Tapioca pudding which is AMAZING! And guess what they served for desert? Tapioca pudding with coconut ice cream and real pieces of coconut. Well worth going!

These chocolate and honeycomb truffles were by far the best, I literally cannot believe these exist. They were that great. I would go back for these alone.

P.S This morning I thought I would be super smart and simplify my life by taking mashed sweet potato, carrots and broccoli (ok baby food), thanks Steph for this idea to the gym for a post WOD brekky. So I opened it up, squeezed it and… yeah ok I spilt it all over the gym floor. I pretty much knock over something every time I go there so my coach was not even shocked.

  9. Noise: Jessie J - Nobody’s Perfect (acoustic)

    WHAT AN AMAZING VOICE?????!!!!

  10. Colour: Updating The Standing Up Desk Situation

Every time I write or say, ‘the situation,’ I think of Jersey Shore. Awky.

A while ago, I tweeted about my standing up desk asking for advice. I received some amazing information about why it’s good for you. There’s a huge amount of information however start here with Fitbomb.

I find sitting all day uncomfortable, it makes my already tight hip flexors (sexy I know) even tighter which makes my back sore.

As you know I injured myself, and I am on the path to recovery however I feel standing up five days a week is really helping with that recovery. Just like my Vibrams (that I just melted in the dryer - major awky), I eased into it slowly and it’s like I never sat.

Now, I can stand for a decent proportion of the day, I am much stronger at crossfit and in general and I have had many comments of late on how lean I am looking (without even trying).

So, what are you waiting for? Go and try it out and you will reap the benefits.

    Love

P.S Really, do I need a P.S story when I just told you I melted my Vibrams in the dryer even though I have had them for a year and the instructions tell you specifically not to put them in the dryer? Really? Really?
